Entries are now open for the 2013 NAB Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge. To register and take advantage of the "Early Bird" entry fee go to the entry page at  http://coffscoastcyclechallenge.com/enter-event/

At this time there are no major changes in the categories of ride and routes for 2013. This is in response to the huge, frank, comprehensive and supporting feedback received from riders in last years Event. We are however considering some additional events and activities on the day and will keep you informed

Our main aims is to meet the desires of you the riders for changes which will make the Event more satisfying for you from year to year.

Only 5 days left to the NAB Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge. 

At present there are riders throughout New South Wales plus riders from Queensland, Victoria and the ACT participating in the event. Details of the event can be found at http://www.coffscoastcyclechallenge.com/

A lucky rider in this years event will win a Felt AR5 UHC Advanced bike. Recommended Retail Price $3,000.

Plus the Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge committee have arranged for several attractions to entertain participants and their families during the day up to the presentation at the end of the event.

In addition there is the Sunday Market with a wide range of merchandise on sale and live entertainers and music and within walking distance of the event area there is the fish market and a wide selection of restaurants and the Yacht Club

The 5th August is fast approaching. Only 7 days left before the Challenge... Take the Challenge from the Ocean to the Rainforest

This is the third year of the Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge with more riders participating throughout NSW and the other states. The Event is a ride of up to 100 kilometres starting and finishing at the Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshores. There is a Lucky Draw using Rider BIB number drawn out of hat and a lucky rider in the 60k or 100k category will win a Felt AR5 UHC Advanced bike. Recommended Retail Price $3,000.

Tony Abbott registers to compete in the Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge

Opposition Leader Tony Abbott has today confirmed he will register to participate in the Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge to be held on Sunday August 5.

Federal MP Luke Hartsuyker said he had invited Mr Abbott to be part of the cycle challenge and the Coalition leader’s office had today indicated that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, he will be a starter.

“It is well known that Tony is a keen cyclist so I am delighted that he has agreed to be part of the 2012 ride.

Tony will be on the Coffs Coast that weekend and will participate in the full 100km team ride.

I have registered a Riders on the Hill team which is what the federal parliamentary cycling group is called and all riders on the team will complete the maximum distance.

The cycle challenge continues to go from strength to strength and raise much needed funds for many community based organisations.

It has been successful because it offers something for everyone. You can ride the 100km or you can join the kids on a family ride.

With Tony here on August 5 I trust it will add to what is already a very successful event.”

Cycling Events / Coffs Coast Festival of Cycling 2012 !!

The NAB Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge is now part of a quickly developing Festival of Cycling on the Coffs Coast. That is cycling in all manner of categories over about the first two weeks of August each year.

There is the proposal by SAWTELL AND DISTRICT BMX for an open night ride on either Fridays 03 or 10 August 2012. Need to know more please go to http://sawtell.bmxnsw.com.au

Also COFFS CYCLE CLUB will have a 4 hour Enduro at 'Cows and Guns' on Saturday 04 August 2012, 8am-1pm. And of course the NAB Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge being held the next day on the 5th August. http://coffscoastcyclechallenge.com/

Great training for the 'Pleasure and Pain' Mountain Bike Race which is held on the 9th September 2012, by the way, for next year will be on the Coffs Coast on Sunday 11 August 2013.

The Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge, nominated for the Australia Day 2011 "Community Event of the Year" Award was launched in 2010 as a picturesque community bike ride on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales.

The 2011 Challenge, being held on the 7th August, will have more than seven different categories to enter suiting all cyclists over the age of 14 years.

The Challenge is a ride of 100 kilometres starting and finishing at the Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshores.

The 2010 BCU Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge is being launched in 2010 as a picturesque community bike ride on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales.

The Challenge is a ride of 75 kilometres starting and finishing at the Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshores.

There are seven different categories to suit all cyclists over the age of 14 years.

There is a category for every level of rider & a challenging 75 kilometre ride for individual riders, or teams of three can participate in the relay event over the same distance. There is also an option of 50 kilometres for new or less experienced individual riders.
