Thinking a long time ahead to riding the Northern Tier in the US... Can anyone tell me how easy it is to get little gas canisters for camp cooking? Specifically, canisters with EN417 fittings?
I can't tell you exactly what EN417 is. It's simply the thread dimension, I think, the way that the canister fits to the hose that runs to the burner. In Europe they comein a couple of sizes and mine is an EN417.
Does that mean anything to you, in America?
If it does, a supplementary question...
Where would you normally go for small gas canisters in the US? Walmart presumably sell them big enough to heat a small town but maybe not small ones? Camping shops, perhaps? How frequent would those be? In other words, would I expect to come across one every few days, every two weeks, every month?
All advice very much welcomed. My thanks to all.
