I use "No-Ad" rated at 45UPF. Recommended by Men's Health Journal. Very inexpensive and you can find it at some of the chain drugstores like Walgreens. Also, Performance and Nashbar sell long sleeve jerseys rated at 30 and 50 UPF at about $35 each.

Litespeed, I'm not trying to hijacked this subject, but I think you live on the west coast of Florida or close to. How are you crossing the state. I live in Valrico and trying to find the most direct route to the east coast.

As you can see its attached to a V-Rex. Used it from Portland to Missoula where I got hurt and had to abandoned the trip. Great for protection against headwind and rain. The tubing used to attach to bike  provides additional space to hang water bottles and other accesories.

Selling a short-wheel recumbent windrap. Windrap was purchased and used on a Rans V-Rex for a short 700 miles trip. In good conditions. No cracks but a few smudges caused when shipping. I'm pretty sure some will come out with a good polishing. One or two scratches won't come. All mounts and water bottle cage is included in price. New is over $300. Price is $125.00 including shipping anywhere in lower 48s.
Pictures on request.

Second Fiddler4060 on the Specialized Tahoe. Had mine for about 3 years and still going strong. Great shoe for those of us with a need for a double EE shoe.

My plans are to visit both the south and north rim and the four corners area. Going to take the ACA Grand Canyon route and intersect with ACA Western Express. My final destination is Colorado Springs. Starting time: middle of March 2011. Using a recumbent with panniers. Any advise/information concerning route/timing is welcome.

I have an old but never used Etrex Legend Cx with the basic map software (major cities and roads). I want to buy the North America NT map software. Based on what I read on Garmin website there are advantages and or disadvantages on some or all of the form that software is selling. I have a desktop at home, but will be taking a netbook on tour. Can I download their software on more than one computer?

« on: March 18, 2010, 08:22:07 pm »
I'm thinking on doing part of Lewis and Clark from Oregon to Missoula and TA from Missoula to Pueblo, CO. during Aug/Sep time-frame. I have read a few of the travel journals written on Crazyguy....... Question: How's the weather during Aug/Sep? I know is hot but besides that, what about rain, lightning, hail?Anyone care to expand?

Bikearound, I'm planning a trip to St Augustine later in February. Live in the Valrico area. Will be heading north to Dade City, Inverness, Dunnellon, Gainesville where I'll pick up ST Section 7 to St. Augustine. Be using some of the Florida Connector for my return to Valrico.
