Underground Railroad / Niagara Falls to Ontario Route

Hello.  We are doing a short credit card tour from Cleveland OHIO up to Toronto, CA

Day 1 = Painesville, OH to Dunkirk, NY (following UGRR routes)
Day 2 = Dunkirk to Niagara Falls (following UGRR routes)
Then we are going Toronto (as we have never been to this city)

Just a few questions.  I bought the UGRR map, which will do swell from Erie, PA to Niagara Falls, but I wonder if anyone has done a route from Niagara Falls to Toronto.

I have contacted the toronto tourist department and they sent me an awesome map of the city's routes.   But getting from Niagara to Toronto is something I need to research.

Any other ideas are appreicated.

Routes / Cleveland to Toronto OR Cleveland to Michigan

My Buddy and I are looking for a 4-day, 300 mile trip.

We were trying to go to Toronto, and was excited about the lake scenery, but with the new passport laws it may be difficult $$ wise since we want our wives and kids to meet us up there (in Toronto) via minivan.

We would be out 8 x $80(?) = $640 just for passports alone since we both have two daughters.

Any ideas?  We were thinking of going west to michigan?
