I really don't think Canada is going to recognize your rights under the Second Amendment of the US Constitution.

2. A water resistant blanket such as Tuffo brand with carrying case.
3. Water Proof Seal Line Bags for food.
4. Sleeping Bag for doggy.
5. Clothes and padded doggy shoes
goes against the minimalist and lightweight touring frame of mind...

Watch the movie 'Ride the Divide' for a good overview of the various trail/road conditions along the route. It is available on iTunes and sometimes you can catch it on the Documentary Channel.

Just signed up for a ACA tour on the Great Divide in Montana next July. Plan to ship my bike to Whitefish early and arrive a couple days before the tour starts. Are there any economical places to stay/camp in Whitefish itself during the summer months?
