Routes / Hosts?

I'm not sure this is acceptable or not but would anyone on this forum happen to know people -or maybe you, the reader, could host? - that could host a team of bikers in the following cities? 

Blythe, CA
Globe, AZ
Las Cruces, NM
Alpine, TX
Bogalusa, LA

The team is going along the Southern Tier route - they are raising funds for a country in Central Africa.  The leader of the pack is a missionary who has spent 10 years in a war-torn country, Burundi.  For more info. go to www.bikeforburundi.com. Thanks so much!

Routes / Biking from Tallahasee, FL to Charleston, SC

I'm planning a bike trip from Tallahassee to Charleston.  I'm focusing on the GA route right now (from Tallahassee into GA) and in looking at the state bike map, I see that from Tallahassee up through GA to Tifton, I'd take US highway 319. Then I'd veer to the right towards Savannah.   Does anyone know if this road is safe for biking?

Then I'd veer to the right towards Savannah.   I see that Hwy 319 covers the Moultrie Trail, which is great, but what about before that? Does anyone know if this road is safe for biking?

Is the Southern Tier possible to do in 36 days? Obviously, the mileage biked would have to be 100 + miles a day.  And the bikers would need to be fit and ready.  Is this doable?

General Discussion / Bike route from Los Angeles to Charleston, SC - Need advice

I am helping a friend who is biking cross-country to raise funds/awareness for his organization.  I planned his route from LA through Albuquerque, TX, MS, AR, AL, GA and on to Charleston, SC, using google maps and mapmyride and also looked at a few routes others have done.  I also looked at maps, of course.

The bikers (three of them) are British and new to the States terrain/roads and I am not a serious biker.  I was wondering if anyone out there could tell me if there might be any dangers I need to be aware of in mapping my route using google/mapmyride as one of the riders is nervous about getting into a crash (he saw that an olympian from the UK was hit on route 66).  Other than me actually driving the route myself and making notes, I know of no other way to ensure safety unless I were to completely take them on the Southern Tier route, which they don't have time to do. 

Perhaps, someone who is experienced with all this, can review my route or tell me what else I might do to ensure proper planning.
