Bicycle Route 66 / Route 66

I rode 1300 miles of this route between April 1 and June 6, 2012. The journal I'm writing about the trip is on Crazyguyonabike. It's called Rooted on 66: Ron's Route 66.
My general impression is that it becomes less bike-friendly the further West you go. You spend more and more time on the Interstates after Tucumcari, New Mexico.
I was practically ordered off the Interstate at Needles, California, by the Highway Patrol, but that was OK because I was getting homesick for Australia and went home two days later.
I take a lot of time with my journal, so just bookmark it and look at it now & then. At this stage, it's up to Oklahoma City.
