First of all get a 29er ( faster and more efficient IMO) and you don`t need brazons.Buy a frame, and build up the bike the way you want .I love my Niner BTW

Seriously consider a 29er mtb( which the Fargo is) over a 26, especially if you plan on not using front suspension. My experience has been they`re faster and roll over stuff much better

Yea I know about the insect population. I`ve done 20+ trips in the BWCA. It`s certainly a consideration. Thanks, I`m still deciding. Any other recommendations for a week or two off road tour? I`ve looked into Maah Daah Hey. and and I`m interested in doing a section of the Great Divide. Anything else I should look at? Just wanting to get my feet wet for this touring thing

Hi all new to the forum. I`m looking into touring the Superior National forest in NE Minnesota this sumer (about a week long trip). I`m planning on hittng the logging and fire rodes and any single track (using a Mt Bike) I can find. Anybody have any experiance doing this. I thought I would get a SNF map and piece together a route, but any advise would be welcome.
Thanks
MD
