Northern Lakes Section 1 Osceola WI to Escanaba MI

Please Help!
Leaving soon for this trip and am realizing this section has very rural areas where there may not be motels for a few days. Would really hate to drag camping gear for just a couple days use. Has anyone done this route and found places to stay throughout?

Fred Hiltz:
The ACA service directory lists plenty of lodgings. I do not recall any difficulty finding motels in 1999, staying in Stillwater, Cumberland, Hayward, Mercer, and Iron River.
