Lewis & Clark vs. Northern Tier in mid June. Which is wetter?

Hi all -

I'll be starting a trip from Seattle east around June 15th. My first goal will be, roughly, western Montana. I'm debating between taking the Lewis and Clark route or the Northern Tier. Both sound great but I'll break the tie if one is more likely to have better weather in the the first week or two. Living in Seattle I know June is no guarantee of sun and that Portland often has better weather than us.

I rode the Northern Tier last year beginning June 1st in Anacordes, WA.  The first 17 days were rode in rain.  That took me into Montana before I finally started having days of sunshine.  Once I came down out of the Rockies, I had headwinds for days.  Tough going through all of it.  I know of some friends who started two weeks after me and had neither rain nor headwinds.  Go figure 8-)

I rode the Northern Tier last year beginning June 12th in Anacordes, WA. Only one rainy day in the first two weeks. I did hear, however, that the people who left a week before me got non-stop rain.
