This is my roughly 96 green Novara Safari bike. It's a steel bike, quite a workhorse.
It now has drop bars on it, with Dura-Ace bar end shifters.
The rear derailleur is a SRAM X-4 MTB long cage with a 34 T sprocket.
Crank is a velo-orange touring triple, 165mm.
26x1.25 WTB Slickasaurus tires.
It has a kickstand and sturdy rack.
Want the original butterfly handlebars? I've got them and the stem to mount 'em. (You'll need your own MTB shifters though).
Total weight - 28.6 Lb
I'm going to keep the saddle and swap it to something else, however. It's nothing special, but I'm kind of used to it now.
What's wrong? scratched paint (see pics). Also, the left peddle has an ever-so-tiny bit of wobble in it. Just enough that you can feel it, but then the feeling of "wobbly foot" goes away after a block or so. Could be a slightly bent pedal spindle, or maybe the crank arm. The BB is square taper, so you can swap to a new crank. Or you can just ride it like I've been doing.
It is a size Medium, I'm 5'7" w/28" inseam and it fits me.
$250, Los Angeles pick-up only. (San Fernando Valley)
