UGRR help
(1/1)
dyver:
I'm planning on riding the UGRR this August and would like any input. I'm doing this on a bent with skinny tires and hope to average 50-60 miles a day. I understand it's going to be hot, I ride in the heat just have to keep hydrated. I understand that parts of the ride are on gravel from past posts, any updates on this and will HP tires be a problem? Looking forward to hearing from other riders about their experience. Thanks

Hi:
You may have misunderstood, but the routing on the UGRR contains no gravel roads, unless construction is occurring somewhere. Tennessee and Kentucky are very hilly so be prepared for that.

Thanks I need to do more homework, I am planning to finishing my ride by back tracking to Pittsburgh and return home by the Great Allegheny Passage and C & O Canal Towpath, this is where I will encounter gravel and dirt paths. Anyone have any words of wisdom about the GAP,C&O part of the ride. Thanks
