We are in the midst of a ride from Kennewick WA to San Francisco and are in Crescent City right now but thought I'd take a minute and let people know that the ride from Kennewick to Crescent City was awesome. Each days specific route and elevation is on my blog at www.1ktothebay.com
as well as mapmyride. There were nice roads and no traffic up to Prineville. Then we took S Century and Cadscade HWY and a only short stint on 97 to get to Crater Lake. From there we headed south and took Westland (awesome road) to 140 to get to Medford These were really great roads with not much traffic and nice shoulders. HWY 199 is not my favorrite as you get into California the shoulders get very narrow. Actually a little uncomfortable in spots.
I just wanted to share this with everyone. I have the ACA maps for the California route to San Francisco but if anyone has any advice for us I would love to hear it.
Happy riding to you all!
