Will the US consulate heard of Adventure cycling association?
« on: February 18, 2014, 05:13:09 pm »
Hello, I'm planning on being in the USA for 5 months, so I will need a visa. I'm wondering when I go to the consulate, will the know what I am talking about if I say I plan on cycling some of the Adventure Cycling Association, will they know what I'm talking about?

Thanks Joel from Australia

I doubt they will specifically know about Adventure Cycling but just say you are going to bicycle routes mapped by a USA cycling organization and give them a rough idea of what you want to do. They really don't care about the specifics of where you will be, only the time frame.

I thought that would be the case but I'm thinking it sounds better if you are actual using planned cycling routes.

If you have any of the maps, maybe bring them along when you go to the consulate. Heh. I am suddenly thinking of the film "Argo."
