Riding the great divide route this summer, pulling bob trail.  Any advice/suggestions on tire choice?  I was looking at WTB Nanoraptor, but not sure they offer enough traction.  What about Maxxis Ignitors?  i will be riding a 29er and my partner will have a 26er.

I only have experience with the Montana section of the GDR but when I rode it last summer I used a set of 26" Nanoraptors and was verry happy. No traction problems at all and the tires rolled very well. I don't think that you will be disappointed with that setup.
