Hvae you ridden Pacific Coast?

Hi,

I'm thinking of riding the PAcific coast, however, I have a strong fear of heights.  Anyone have any suggestions, advice, concerns, info etc?  I am a beginner "tourer" and just want to make sure I am not in over my head.  I hear Oregon is a bit less "scary" so I may want to stick to just this state.

Hi:  I'm somewhat familiar with the PC.  I think, in general, you will find Oregon a bit less intimidating than parts of the Californis coast.  I don't know about Washington.  Oregon is really more bike friendly--bike lanes, lots of campgrounds, etc.  The big cliff factor is not that extreme.  You'd find Big Sur and other sections of the Cal. coast pretty wild, I suspect.  Now, being a coastal route, it's pretty impossible to avoid any exposure.  But my recollection of the Oregon coast is that it is less intense than Cal.
