Dictionary of Bicycling Terms in Foreign Languages
« on: September 02, 2011, 03:08:05 pm »
Hi,
 :)
Does anyone know where I can get a small dictionary of bicycling terms that I might use in foreign lands to help me convey my thought?

Thanks,

Lee Stork

Hi Lee,

This pdf from the European Cycling Federation looks like it might be a good resource for you:

http://www.eesc.europa.eu/resources/docs/bikelexicon_en_web.pdf

The lexicon is an illustrated passport-sized booklet, containing key terms for cycling,
different types of bikes for different mobility needs, and good cycling infrastructure
in 27 languages, including all 23 official EU languages. It also contains information
on EU funding sources for cycling and cycling infrastructure, and statistics on cycling
in Europe and on the economic, health and environmental aspects of cycling.
