Title: 2010 Cannondale Ultra Bad Boy Question
Post by: Tourista829 on April 20, 2011, 08:13:27 pm
I purchased the above bike for my son. It has a Lefty Fork and hydralic disk brakes. If I want to take off the front wheel, so I can ship him the bike, any suggestions. I would like to save the $50 a bike store would charge to pack it. (We have tried to reach Cannondale) Thanks

I believe you have to use the correct size pin spanner and I think it is left-hand thread.  Here is thread covering the topic over on MTBR:  http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=622448 (http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=622448)

Thanks, I will see if I can get a spanner. It does have a place to unscrew an allen key.

Also if I want to remove the stem, it has the lever to lock and unlock the shock. If I remove the screw will it come off or will I unhinge something in the shock assembly?

I've never actually worked on one, so I'm not sure about how that all hooks together.
