Looking for recommendations for cat carriers to purchase. I have a 10-pound cat I would like to be able to take with me on my rides.

Topeak makes a couple of rear carrier mount baskets ( one plastic, one metal )  that a number of people use  for dogs that may work.
REI carries them.
