Marty/Greenwood area was hit with severe flooding on June 13-14. 2010. Portions of County Roads 2 and 21 are under water. Suggested alternate routes would be on SD Hwy. 46 through Wagner and SD Hwy. 50/52 to/from Yankton.

I removed yesterday's message, because my friends from Wagner actually went down through Marty today, and CoRd 2 is still out and closed 7 miles south of Marty. I will look for an alternative route next week and report back "from the scene".
Ride safe,
Hans

At this point, it is actually kind of funny...I called the Charles Mix County Sheriff's Office. They didn't know and referred me to the County Highway Department. They didn't know, and gave me a number that was supposed to be the Yankton Tribal offices, but ended up at the Indian Community College. They gave me the number for the tribal offices, but then nobody answered. ::) We decided to go check it out ourselves tomorrow or Saturday. I'll post up here what I find.
Ride safe,
Hans

The road and Route are open. The road is maintained by the BIA, which is why I had a hard time getting info. It is not repaved yet, so it will be rough on the areas that were washed out. or potentially muddy although they have been graveled. You can return the L&C Trail to it's original route. We went down there by car yesterday, and will bike through the area tomorrow. (Tuesday, 7/20)
