« on: April 13, 2004, 09:16:17 pm »
Good day to all... I might add that the "TERRY" Saddle has beeen a good choice for me, the cut-out works out fine too. Leather is a good choice also.Again in the past five years I have crossed the U.S. twice and rode to Alaska plus all the other short rides and all my TOOLS still work !!

We have two Co-Motions a Single and a Tandem The Tandem is about 6 months old... For me I love the bar-end shifters for touring... They are simple and easy to take care of..

Say big Guy, I have used both and they both have there place .. I have bicycle across the USA twice and to Alaska in the past 5 years If you have rack and panniers then I would go for the panniers if not the B.O.B. is GREAT too ! You can't go wrong. Jerry

Gear Talk / panniers vs. BOB-like trailers??

I have used Both panniers and B.O.B and like them both.Crost the U.S. twice in the past 5 years used the B.O.B once it was ok but for me I like the panniers I agree that it is a choice one has to make, but if you have a good touring bike such as the Co-Motion then I would say panniers, however if you are touring with a Mt. bike then a trailer would work best.I also bicycled to Alaska in the spring 2001 and used panniers.. I have both, but the trailer stays home since the purchase of the Co-Motion.
