There is a pedestrian bridge across the St Louis River.  The upper part is for cars and bikes aren't allowed but the lower part allows pedestrians and bikes.  Its called the Bong bridge and is part of US 2.  Good luck

I see where half of the Gaspe is part of Route Verde, what did you think of the other half?  Is it ok for biking?  I have been around Lake Superior (actually all the Great Lakes) and know that shoulders can be hard to come by, but I am wondering about places to eat, sleep, etc.  do the small fishing villages have accomodations?  And do you think I could reasonably do 75 miles a day, which is about what I usually average.

Thanks,

Paul

I would like to know what the distance of rough terrain and heavy traffic would be in the Gaspe peninsula, and if it would make any difference going clockwise or counterclockwise.

Thanks,  Paul
