^^^What dombrosk said.  I have the Exped Downmat 7 and it gives me the comfort I want.  I happily carry it on the bike or on my back.  Well worth every dollar.

I have a friend currently on tour and this is her first trip with the Biolite stove.  Here is a direct quote from her email I received today: " The new stove works great."  I'll get more details when she finishes in a couple of weeks and post them here.

+2 to what John said.  I've used this successfully with many major backpacking trips and am using it for my first major cycling trip next year.  August 5 , 2012 to be exact.

Also, remember what a "bucket list" is: things you want to accomplish before you die.  "Though the physicality of death destroys man the reality of death saves him".  Some famous philosopher said this.

Check out a book called "Along the Dempster" by Walter Lanz.  Though it focuses mainly on the many hiking trips possible off the Dempster Highway it contains a lot of information that may benefit you.

I was up that way a few years ago to do a backpacking trip in the Tombstone Range; beautiful country indeed.
