Thanks for the reply. From maps it looks like rte9 parallels the Garden State Pkwy all the way south close to Atlantic City. Do you know if it is bike friendly. Does it have a shoulder?

I will be doing a Florida to New York ride. I have an aluminum road bike. Do I need to buy a touring geometry bike for a ride of this length or can I convert my road bike?

I am about to leave on a 1500 mi ride. The Marathon Supremes I was hoping to ride on are on back order and not currently available. What would be the best second choice?  Thanks, Ed

In September I'm going to ride my first multi day trip.I'll be riding solo from Orlando to Long Island. I have my bike, panniers, and Adventure Cycling maps. I would really appreciate any tips about this type of trip. I typically forget to pack my bike shoes, so any ideas would help.  Thanks, Ed

I would like to plan a trip from Orlando to New York City. I expect to motel it. Has anyone done a similar ride and can give me some tips. I've never done a long distance multi day trip like this before.
