Youth Bicyle Travel / Day tours with 2yo in bike trailer

Hi We are travelling in the USA and Canada for several months this year and I am trying to decide whether or not to bring our Chariot trailer. We will be driving with a camper trailer so would mostly be looking to do short day rides (sorry if this is not an appropriate section to ask re. day trips). We enjoy hiking as well so I am trying to weigh up whether to just hike or to also plan some rides. I was wondering whether anyone has any suggestions for relatively smooth trails outside of the cities; we will primarily be in the north west and in the rockies. We enjoy mountainbiking but would not want to subject our daughter to long bumpy fire trails.
