Routes / Santa Fe to Boulder CO

Taking a small trip with a friend from Santa Fe NM to Boulder, has anyone ridden this route, what are the roads like from Taos to CO border. Thanks

anyone ever ride on Route 17 between Salida CO and Alamosa CO near Great Sand Dunes? what is the road like, shoulder, road condition etc. Thanks

Routes / Great Parks South Sec. #1

Has anyone traveled the Great Parks South Section #1? Specifically through the towns of Black Hawk, Central City, Idaho Springs, Dillon and Frisco? After reading through the map directions a few times it seems that it might be easy to get a bit lost. If anyone has any recent experience with these town that would be helpful, if only to plan in a little extra time for getting lost. Thanks
