Routes / Burr Trail Road "Short-Cut"

Hi, I am planning a self supported tour along the Western Express Route and I am looking for some information on the Burr Trail Road from Boulder, Utah through Capitol Reef to Hall's Crossing. I understand the road is paved from Boulder to the boundary of Capitol Reef, but I am having trouble getting information on the unpaved section through the park and then down to Hall's Crossing. Any information or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!

Routes / Mapping Software?

Hey markbajek,
I was wondering what you decided about the mapping software? Did you choose Delorme TopoUSA 5.0? If you did, what is like for mapping paved and dirt roads? How about mapping elevation changes? I've been thinking of buying a copy so any information you (or anyone else) can give me would be appreciated.

General Discussion / Looking for Bike Bag for Amtrak or Greyhound?

Hi,
I have travelled with my bicycle on Amtrak for my last three tours without any problems. They have very large boxes. All you have to do is turn your handlebars and roll your bike right in. My travels have started and ended in ST. Paul, Minnesota to destinations in Montana and have always been met with very helpful people. Especially in East Glacier Park Montana. I quit travelling by Greyhound after my bike nearly missed getting on the bus in Des Moine, Iowa. Even though you pay extra, they won't gaurantee it getting on. Good Luck,
