Routes / Outer banks Alternative (Atlantic Coast Route) Map Question

Hello,
Planning a trip for this summer using the Atlantic Coast route Map 4 to create a loop. The plan is to use the Outer banks Alternative segment to avoid backtracking a section of the ride between Sudbury, NC and Jacksonville, NC.
The issue I have run into, and purpose of my post is that the Outer banks Alternative map segments do not have a narrative on the ACA map. Does anyone know if there is a reason behind this and/or a solution I’m missing to get that information for this section?
