Routes / Re: Looking for route suggestions? Tips to help others help you.

This discussion area frequently sees requests from riders looking for route suggestions, on and off the Adventure Cycling Route Network. There are a number of experienced, knowledgeable touring cyclists on the forum who would like to help you. You can help them do so by providing some information up front in your request:

• What is your timeframe for riding this route? Include at least beginning and ending months.
• What kind of riding do you like? Dislike? Consider things like scenery, hills, urban settings.
• Are you interested in taking in historic or cultural sites? Or are you on the fast track?
• What are your overnight preferences? Camping in campgrounds, stealth camping, hotels, Warmshowers, a combination?
• What is your plan for eating? Restaurants or cooking in camp?
• How many miles a day do you intend to ride?

These are good questions to be asking yourself anyway as you plan a trip so share them up front when asking for advice.
