General Discussion / bike and gear temporary storage in hawaii

hi everyone,
wondering if any locals can advise where i could leave my dismantled bike and gear for a couple of weeks somewhere in Honolulu? plans are at the moment to fly myself and bike stuff from the UK to Honolulu next march where i intend to join an organised tour of the pacific war battlefields. ideally i'd like to drop my bike and gear in Hawaii until i return to avoid any unnecessary or excess baggage charges or problems lumping the bike and gear onto small aircraft with  limited hold space. i cant use the bike during the battlefield tour anyway so it makes sense to leave it somewhere secure in Hawaii for the duration. on returning to Hawaii on completion of the tour i would then fly back to the continental US with the bike and gear to start the ACA trans-am. any suggestions for secure storage in Honolulu for about 2 weeks? may well do a some local biking in Hawaii before flying out again. thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Urban Cycling / cycling from boston logan to brookline - recommendations?

does anyone have any recommended routes/map from logan airport term E to the brookline area? am flying over to do the trans am and would like to say i cycled the whole time i was over in the US. am starting my ride from boston down to the east start point at yorktown.

Routes / whats hwy 1 like out of santa barbara?

i'm sure dozens of people have ridden it so am interested to know what to expect. I am about to hit santa barbara going north along the ACA pacific coast route. Usually i avoid riding the interstates and main trunk  roads if at all possible.

whats the section like heading north out of santa barbara up to say lompoc? is it worth doing this early in the morning with less traffic?  looks like 20+ miles of hell road to me?

Routes / crossing the mississippi at vicksburg?

looks like the old vicksburg bridge has been closed. is it possible to use the new one to cycle across to Louisiana? can't believe there is no access for pedestrians and cyclists to cross but can't find any info on it.

Routes / which roads can be cycled in arizona/nevada/utah/new mexico?

hi all,
I am a UK rider currently on my way across the US  and am confirming the route for my western section. am pondering on which main roads allow cyclists in the above states. can interstates be used where there are no other options?   i'm using delorme topo 8 to help plan the routes to the places i want to see and it comes back with some very long routes and surely can't be right.   in some places the only viable road appears to be the interstate but i thought they were off limits to cyclists ? can anyone advise on the rules for this?
