Gear Talk / Internal hub bike

Looking for an 7-8 speed internal hub bike that would be used for light touring or randonnuring events.

Does anyone know if there is such a bike out there or would I have to convert one.

Thinking of replacing my flat mt bike handlebars with trekking bars or mustache bars that have multi positions.

Gear Talk / diamondback commuter

Anyone familiar with diamondback products.
Looking at a diamondback (called a transporter)for commuting and light touring. It has a steel frame and fork 48-38-28 gearing. Mountain bike in design with 26" wheels, fenders, braze on for racks and two water bottles.

Looking for a group interested in riding older bike. I'm into riding older british bikes, internal hubs to 10 speed stuff.
anyone out there on the east coast presently doing same or would like to do same as a group. Maybe a tour.
