Routes / Enchanted Circle NM

I am planning to ride the Enchanted Circle in late June or early July, taking 2 days.  Based on a NM ride last year and the west winds, I planned to leave Taos to the north and ride clockwise, spending the night in Eagle Nest.

Does anyone have any suggestions or input for this ride?  Are the climbs more difficult one direction than the other?

Any info is greatly appreciated.
