Gear Talk / fuji palisade, nishiki or motobecane

Hello,

I need help to decide which one of these bikes will be most suitable for a light-weight touring convert :

1. Nishiki International 1975
2. Fuji Palisade 12 speed
3. Motobecane Grand Touring triple crank

I'm willing to sacrifice durability for less overall weight.

Routes / car traffic on TransAm

i plan to do the TransAm route. How much car traffic should i expect? Is a road bike suitable for this route?
