Classifieds / Shimano m515 & Shimano pd21 reflectors & cleats -
« on: March 01, 2006, 10:40:05 am »
Used a few times - these pedals aren't for me. I fell over with them (I keep forgetting I'm hooked in). $15 + whatever the post office charges me to send them to you. I have a picture, let me know if you'd like to see it.

thanks...rich

Classifieds / Two Calif. bike tour books - FREE
« on: January 15, 2006, 03:31:28 pm »
I found these at the local library in the free box - they are not used library books. They're in very good condition.
"Cyclists Route Atlas - Gold Country and High Sierra South", paperback, 177 pages.
"Cyclists Route Atlas - Gold Country and High Sierra North", paperback, 99 pages.
They didn't cost me anything - if you pay book rate shipping using the Post Office I'll send them to you.
I'll only send both of them to the same person. Shouldn't cost much to send them, they're not heavy and book rate is as cheap as it gets at the PO.

Gear Talk / Cold Mountain front racks?
« on: January 15, 2006, 01:35:06 pm »
I'm also looking at the Old Mountain front racks - the "Cold Springs" and the "Sherpa". Anyone use these and have anything good/bad to say about them? I like the way they attach to the bike, it looks like it would be less strain on the handling than the Tubus Swing - but having never seen either I figured I'd ask here. I don't want to carry a lot of weight up front, just enough to offset some of the lightness in steering I get with a loaded BOB trailer.

Gear Talk / Tubus Swing pannier rack
« on: January 14, 2006, 03:54:13 pm »
I'd like to put a Tubus Swing rack on the front of my suspended mt bike. Anyone use or know anyone who uses one of these racks? Are they good or bad? I'll be using it with Ortlieb Bike Packer Plus panniers.
