Gear Talk / 700, aka 29er, aka *-622

Would like to hear from recent (past year or so) world travelers. Have you noticed an increase in availability of tires in the *-622 range during your travels? The reason I am asking to hear from recent travelers is because most comments found on blogs, forums, etc... that are anti-622 wheels are a couple years old or older. I have come across a couple of more recent comments that are pro-622 and say they're becoming more popular in the Asia region and can be found in South America. I know over the last couple years this size range has become very popular here in the US and are now being sold on bikes from the big box stores. Traveling and living in Europe I know it's easy to find this tire size too. Anyway... I'd really like to hear from actual travelers and/or from someone that can post up some recent stuff either pro or anti 622 that I may have missed.

General Discussion / B&M e-Werks Cache Battery

Looking for feedback on the e-Werks Battery from other users. My buddy and I bought two back in April from Peter White and they worked great for several rides, then they started working intermittenty, then they stopped working all together. Contacted Peter White and asked him about and he said that he had not heard of any issues, but asked that we mail them back and he'd replace them. Cool deal! Well we got two new batterires yesterday evening and.... one works and the other does not! So that is 3 out of 4 bad ones and who knows... maybe the 4th one will stop working too. We're really stumped because generally speaking the Germans make great products, but these batteries are crap!

Anyone else having issues?

Gear Talk / BOB Ibex trailer

Hello All,

I used our Bob Ibex trailer yesterday for the first time and it was a horrible feeling. It caused my bike to wobble the whole time and it was barely loaded (less than 20lbs). When I stood up to stretch, it got worse, a lot worse. Anyone else ever experience this? I don't recall reading about this during my reviews; otherwise, I would have never bought the thing! I do plan on talking with BOB early next week and see what they have to say. Anyway...  :confuse:
