Routes / Rte20 NY State

Has anyone ridden Rte 20 across New York state. What's it like, have you a personal opinion of it that you can share? I'm considering using it on my Coast to coast and would like to know what it's like? Traffic? Hilly? anything at all....thx.

Routes / South East Oregon

Planning my ride  comming through Idaho from Boise into SE Oregon the question is how sparse and barren is it in SE Oregon along Rte 20 towards Burns, then Bend. My final destination will be San Francisco and I'm undecided either to continue to the Pacific coast and head south or go via Klamath Falls. Is there ACA maps available for SE Oregon? Has anyone done this route?

I have planned my route so far to Nebraska - Wyoming border using mostly Route 6 and route 3 across PA,OH,Il and IA etc. Crossing into Wyoming on Highway 20. Can anyone give me information about using I25 or say I90 in Montana. What states alow such traveling by bicycle on Interstate Higway if any? Thanks.

Planning an 08 ride Boston - San Francisco. I'm from the UK. My route will run a course through N.Y state onto South Dakota into Wyoming (Tentons) Idaho to Oregon Pacific Coast. Not squeamish about mice, incects etc? But what kind of wildlife should I expect to have for company when in campsites and Stealth camping? mice, milipedes bears? Should I also take mustard spray as a percausion? Thx.

If one was to be caught in a cold snap while touring in the US. What is the rules and regulations of starting a small contained fire?
