General Discussion / Continental divide advice

I'm considering riding the continental divide on a fully loaded ( racks, panniers, etc.) Salsa Vaya. Is this advisable as the trail is considered more for mountain biking? I'm looking at the sections through Wyoming, Colorado and northern New Mexico. Any previous rider's advice would be well appreciated.

Gear Talk / Schwalbe tires

I currently ride with 42 Schwalbe Mondials. I love the tires for gravel grinding but am looking for something as reliable in the Schwalbe line for street riding. Any suggestions on which is better regular Marathons or Marathon Supremes? I will still do some 1-2 weeklong touring but the majority of my time will be for light commuting and fun rides on city streets.

Gear Talk / Salsa Vaya rack advice

I'm looking to add racks and panniers to my Salsa Vaya. I could go with the Salsa front and rear racks which are made for the bike. However, I am tempted to order Tubus racks based on their reputation and increased load capacity. Most of my expected touring will be 1-2 week stuff. Nothing in outer Mongolia. Thanks.
