GPS & Digital Data Discussion / Tracking route with Garmin Etrex 20x

Starting a tour in June from the Twin Cities (Minnesota) to St Louis to Santa Fe area to Yellowstone and back home.  Original plan was to use the 20x for navigation, but the route is pretty "clean", i.e. it doesn't have many tricky parts.  So I'm switching the plan.  I'm going to use OSMand on my phone when necessary to follow the route, will use the Etrex to track the route for downloading afterward for data.  My problem is there is a lot of information out there, but I'm having a hard time finding two things: how many miles it will take to hit the trackpoint limit; how to save a day or two or seven of data before starting another track.  Pretty simple questions, but I'm not finding the answers.  Can anyone answer these questions or point me to a source that does?

Routes / Twin Cities to Santa Fe to Yellowstone to Twin Cities

Subject line says it all.  Wanted to to a front door to front door tour instead of flying to one coast, flying back from another coast.  Anyway.  The first leg of our summer 2019 journey will be from the Twin Cities to the Katy Trail north of Saint Louis.  The Katy Trail itself through Clinton, MO, is straightforward.  From Clinton we want to head through Flint Hills in Kansas as we make our way to Santa Fe, and then from Santa Fe to Yellowstone.  From Yellowstone to home we can figure out, as there aren't that many roads up there.

Anyway, wondering whether anyone who has ridden the Twin Cities to north of Saint Louis could recommend a good safe route.  Also, if anyone has done any of the other legs as well (Clinton, MO, area through Flint Hills to Santa Fe, Santa Fe to Yellowstone).

Classifieds / Wanted: OMM rear rack for 27" wheels

Getting ready to do a ride around Lake Superior this summer.  I have an OMM Cold Spring on the front, need to put a rach on the back (Disc brakes, no braze ons, so need OMM for axle skewer mounting).  If anyone is interested in letting one go for a reasonable price I'd be very pleased.  Sherpa on down, although White Rock might be too light.  Thanks!

Great Lakes / Ride Around Lake Superior

Greetings, all.  I've been reading on the site for some time, but this is my first time posting.  This June-July I'm planning a ride around Lake Superior.  I'm going to be doing it pretty quickly, 11 days, as that's all the time I have available.  I live in Minnesota and am very familiar with the MN north shore, the WI south shore and, a bit less so, MI's UP.  It's been years, however, since I've been on the Canadian side of the lake.  I'm wondering about trails, shoulders, general road condition on the Canadian shore of the lake.  Any wisdom out there?
