Classifieds / FS: Waterford RST-22 and/or Waterford 1900
« on: October 30, 2020, 07:58:05 pm »These fine bikes need new riders, for new adventures. I cannot ride upright anymore, and it's a shame to waste these.
Are you in need (want) of a quality lightweight and/or full-on touring bicycle?
Tell me your experience and plans. I enjoy Adventure Cycling so much for the stories and photographs.
Bikes are 56cm frames, set up with Brooks saddles, Nitto dirt drop stems and Noodle bars with 9-spd bar-ends.
Continental Gatorskins - up to 32x700c - Blackburn racks - stainless bottle cages - SKS fenders (RST can only go up to 28 tire w/ fender).
I've adapted drive train to compact TA chainrings on both - RST has 105 derailleurs, and the 1900 I changed the rear to a Rapid-Rise Shimano. (Have the previous parts - included with the bikes.)
Both bikes have been posted on Facebook groups - with positive comments, but no deals struck.
Both bikes have been part of a 7+ stable, so lightly ridden, and well-cared-for. Used to live in Peoria, IL, was database guy for the Illinois Valley Wheelm'n, and enjoyed the county roads, valleys, and trails for almost forty years. INDY's MONON trail is right by my new place, and I ride a Catrike 559 now.
I have a lot of recent photos which are on Facebook and my phone
