Building Sale Discussion Area / The community is ACAs biggest asset
« on: January 21, 2026, 12:47:37 am »I've been a member of ACA only for a few years, during most of which I was working too hard (especially during COVID) to take any long trips. Nevertheless, I have been inspired by the magazine in ways that have changed my life. I've only had a few multi-day adventures, but now I'm 67 and retired, and I aspire to more!
This is a tough decision, and good points are made on both sides. The tipping point for me is a quote from one of the emails: they are choosing mission over property. So, I think I will vote yes.
I hope that the organization will heal and continue. The recommendations for mediation are good and I hope the leaders on both sides will think about that. And, I need to add, I for one have appreciated the attention over the last few years to actively welcoming and opening doors to people who have not traditionally been part of the biking community, and I hope that continues.
