I was looking for some good web sites to order gear like brake pads, chains, peddles, etc...I am in Newfoundland Canada so a Canadian distributer would be great.  My wife and I are avid bikers and I take care of all the maintence.

I bought a North Face 2 person about 2 years ago and I was so dissapointed.  Paid 300 bucks too and it leaks even after the sealing paste was applied to the fly.

You haven't experienced atlantic canada until you have made it to Newfoundland.  The ferry is in North Sydney Nova Socitia and it is well worth it.  Once on the Island  you can go see all kinds of great things.  Best weather is in late June to mid early sept.

General Discussion / MTB vs Touring
« on: October 13, 2005, 12:03:41 pm »
I have been riding a Cannondale F400 MTB with a head shock for about 7 years now.  My longest trip was 7 days and about 5-7 hours riding a day.  I am planning to do some extended touring and was wondering if other people recommend a MTB.  It is very comfortable to me, however I have never owned a touring.  I would love some feedback from experienced riders.

I use a seat with the cut out.  Actually its a specialized brand.  I couldn't go back to the stock seats after 3 years with the cut out.
