How much are you willing to spend?

My go to is scrambled eggs wrapped in a tortilla. You can add cheese, bacon, sausage etc. to make it to your liking.

I wouldn't have cash mailed to me. That would be too risky (in my opinion) and more inconvenient than just withdrawing from the ATM. Maybe you can open an account here at a bank that has many ATMs where you plan to travel?

Come on, it is possible to be interested in touring, racing, and yes...maybe even racers.

Gear Talk / Re: Bar-end mirror & front down tube shifter?

I may be totally wrong, but, without braze ons on the frame to mount a downtube shifter, that may be somewhat difficult. It's probably be easier to use a set of dual levers.

Also, although I may be wrong, it seems to me that Strava used far less battery power than MapMyRide.

Agreed, I used MapMyRide once upon a time and there was no way I could do a real ride and expect the battery to last. Presumably--but I can't say for sure--you'd run into a similar situation with Strava?

This is great. As someone living in N. California I'm always looking for things like this to spend a few days to a few weeks of time on.

Putting an emphasis on core exercise (including the back) has really helped me. Being stronger in those areas has eliminated a lot of small aches and pains and made me a stronger rider in general.

I haven't seen any of these (other than here) yet. Kinda like the Giant one.

Cool. I got that, I guess I just want some reassurance that if I show up the likeliness of being left standing there looking stupid is minimal. I've never stepped foot on a train, let alone with a tandem bike in tow.

I hope I'm not inappropriately resurrecting old threads ???; but, we are tenatively planning trekking from Nor-Cal to Santa Barbara, returning via Amtrak next summer on a tandem. Any info on train travel experiences would be HUGELY helpful.

Weather can be hit-or-miss. I have seen some spectacular weather up there that time of year, and not so great weather other times.
