Vancouver Island has some of the few remaining temperate rain-forests and an unbelievable Biological Beach, unfortunately they are on the West end of the island. We cheated and rented a car. The route thru the middle of the island was pretty by car but its a full day ride.
LMK if you want more details on camping and sightseeing on the West side.

I am trying to head directly South after leaving the TAT near Berea, I like the route jbruced sent going thru and next to the Daniel Boone Forest--looks like good topography!

My daughter and I rode the Sierra Cascade last June. The people we stayed with in N California said they toured only wild-camping with no issues. We stayed in campgrounds and with Warm Shower hosts which made for a great combination.

Hi, I'm taking the trans-America East past Lexington, KY then heading South to Decatur, GA. Any suggested roads or routes would be appreciated. I prefer scenic, hilly/mountainous.
