Connecting ACA Routes / Adirondack Route - short version?

Hello - I will have 3 days to do some cycling in the Adirondacks. I have the map(s) for the entire loop but will not have time to do the whole loop. I was thinking about a shorter loop. For example, one might start and end in Warrensburg and come down 28N or 28. I was wondering if it was possible and safe enough from a traffic perspective?

I am open to hearing suggestions, experiences...
I could ride up to 200 miles in the 3 days but preferably not less than 150.
