Southwest / San Antonio -> Comfort, TX Bicycle Tour

A couple of weekends ago, I completed an overnight bicycle tour to Comfort, TX from my home in San Antonio.  For details including my route and where I stayed, please visit my blog post about this latest bicycle tour...

As it turns out, I started this tour on what would become one of the hottest days in August and during THE hottest month of August for Texas...EVER RECORDED!

It was tough but taking frequent breaks and planning a route with stops to help make sure you can re-fill your water supply makes all the difference in the world.

Southwest / San Antonio, TX to Seguin, TX - Overnight Tour

My first bike tour in 2011 was an overnight tour to Seguin, TX.

This was a great ride and the route was very nice using some old roads mostly abandoned by motorists that prefer the big Interstate.

Southwest / San Antonio to Fredericksburg, TX "mini" bicycle tour

Looking for insight from anyone that has made this journey.  I plan to ride the 65-70 miles, one way, on October 2nd and will overnight in Fredericksburg.  Especially interested in route suggestions and experiences with the roads between here and there.  Thanks!
