Gear Talk / BOB & Rear Suspension?

I researched the same question a couple of years back.  I have a 2001
Gary Fisher Sugar 1 with a carbon rear triangle and was VERY concerned,
for the same reasons I'm sure.  How's all that bushings and moving stuff
going to handle a trailer on it?  Seemed kind of bad to me and I'm no
engineer.
In short, the GF people assured me that the trailer would not affect the
swingarm.  Of course they're not the one's who'd be stranded 50 miles
from nowhere.  I never tried it, but I'd still be skeptical.

If you really just want to boil water and have few mechanical issues, you
might try one of these.

No personal experience, but a friend has one and he loves it. He's a daily
commuter.  They look sturdy.

I found this info after searching the web.  Seems like good info to know...

"An Amtrak bike BOX measures 69 1/2 long, 39 3/4 high and 8 3/4 wide.
It's quite large enough for almost any bike if you just turn the handlebars
and remove the pedals"
