I am considering a self contained tour starting about the second week of September starting in the Cape Breton or newfoundland areas and ending in Burlington, Vermont. I would appreciate any suggestions in route either staying along the St. Lawrence River mostly or going through Main, New Hampshire, Vermont. I'm not so interested in most direct but best scenery and road quality etc. Also I'd be happy to go with someone if interested. The past two falls I have completed two cross-country self contained tours and had a great time. The first tour with a group and the last alone.

To cover all of the entire Virginia portion of the TransAm route would require the Sec 11 & 12. Section 11 will also cover some of Kentucky however.

Sorry so long for a response. I just moved cross country and started a new job. I now only have the TransAm & Atlantic maps left. And as someone has said the maps are for both directions.

I'm trying to determine a start point for a tour starting about September 1st. Can anyone give me feedback about a bike friendly route starting in Winnipeg Canada and going south to connect with the Norther Tier route between Fargo, ND and Grand Rapids Minnesota?

Thanks for the reply. Do you believe the mosquitoes would be as much of a problem in September?

No, perhaps I didn't word it well. The lower section of the mentioned Northern Tier route that I'm interested in following would connect with & include some of the Great Rivers route but I'd still be interested in hearing about the two options that start & end from Bismark, ND to Dutzow, MO. The one following mostly the L & C or the NT.

I'm interested in hearing any opinions about the difference between cycling the section of Lewis & Clark route from Bismark, ND to Dutzow Missouri vs Bismark, ND to Dutzow Missouri via the Norther tier route. Both sections start and end at the same points but go through different states. Any feed back about both or one of the routes would be greatly appreciated. I'd be starting about Sept 1st.
