I only have a handle bar bag and rear rack and panniers for my two week trip. Will the weight of pretty much everything on the back cause problems?

I live in Houston. I am wanting to try and get to the continental divide trail a bit. the end of Feb and beginning of march is when I have off. Glacier gorge trailhead is my plan. I have done some winter camping.

So I trying to bike from Longmont, CO to Rocky MT. Natl Park. I was wondering if there was a place to lock up my bike or leave it in the entrance HQ while I backpack in to camp.
