Already posted by dobsonjv. However, the correct map is Atlantic Coast Section 4, Map 51. And yes, Sidbury Rd to US 17 is a viable detour from Castle Hayne to Hampstead (going NB). Completion date according to NCDOT is Nov 1 2017.

The Lamine River bridge on SR 41 between Lamine and Boonville MO is being replaced during Spring/Summer 2014. In the meantime a (EB) detour exists by leaving SR 41 about 5 mi NW of Lamine and following CR K, CR M and other frontage roads along the I-70 corridor to rejoin the route on Santa Fe Trail west of Boonville. For WB riders, simply reverse directions. These roads have all been confirmed as being viable options for biking based on the MO DOT bike route maps, though cyclists may experience higher traffic flows because of the bridge closure.

Baker Creek is about 8.5 miles west of Lake Louise. The statement reads "from Lake Louise to just west of Baker Creek", so you would not be able to go through to Hwy 93 on Bow Valley Parkway in this direction right now. Also, you should check if this reopening will allow cyclists, as other roads have reopened to non-commercial traffic only and cyclists are still prohibited.

Trail Conditions Report for Banff National Park: http://www.pc.gc.ca/apps/tcond/cond_e.asp?oPark=100092.
Both Spray River and Goat Creek trails (first trails on route south of town) are closed due to bridges being washed out.

This was response to a couple looking to begin cycling the GDMBR on Banff National Park's Facebook page:
"At this point we know there is significant damage to bridges in backcountry areas but until the waters recede and assessments are made it's difficult to say what will be open. However, plan for alternatives to all pre-planned backcountry trips." (6/24)

You can keep abreast of further changes yourself: https://www.facebook.com/BanffNP. Note that this only covers Banff National Park, but you could probably apply this logic to many areas from Banff to Glacier (US) right now.

In the meantime, we suggest current riders modify itineraries to start further south. But also note that Montana isn't immune to this recent rainfall, and there may be washouts/slides/trail damage to deal with down here. Keep safe out there.

As of 6/24, Bow Valley Parkway/Hwy 1A between Lake Louise and Banff is closed, and there is no projection for re-opening. This affects Great Parks North maps 6, 7 and Banff Spur. It is less clear whether the TransCanada Highway 1 between these points is also closed to cyclists. Also, the Banff Legacy Bike Trail from Banff east toward Canmore is closed. Please keep track of the fast-changing conditions on Banff National Park's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/BanffNP.
