Be advised that East Washington Street into Joliet, IL is closed for bridge replacement as of August 31, 2015. The route is marked well with Detour Signs around the closure and back to Washington Street that will connect you back into the route.

Here is a link to road construction on US 60 at Arizona 303. The travel lanes are very narrow due to the construction on both sides of the intersection on US 60. Here is a link from ADOT on the project:

Not bad recently.  Check out my last ride on part of the Florida Connector.

How about a forum section for each map page on the web site that would have the additional information listed. This format would have the ability to be continually updated for accuracy in its content.

I looked and tried both Trek 520 and Surly Long Haul Trucker. I went with the Surly Disc Trucker and have never regretted my decision. The Surly is a fine platform that has worked well on my adventures.  You can see pictures of the bike at:

Try the ACA's Florida Connector to Fort Myers and take the Key West Express.

What are the temperature ranges between May 1 and May 15 out there? Just looking for averages.

I tried the stock WTB saddle that came on my Surly Disk Trucker. I went to a Brooks Imperial and have never looked back. It's the best seat that I have ever ridden on.

The following link is to the new BikeWalkLee updated county map for those using the ACA's Florida Connector Map for the Fort Myers, FL (Lee County) area.

Map number 2 was from 2006 and this updates that.

As you, I attempted to use a carbon frame Trek 2100 on my entry into touring. It did not work. I was looking at self-contained and found my Trek was just too light for the job. I have since gotten a Surly Disk Trucker and found this to be a wonderful bike to tour on.

The touring bike is a more relaxed ride and geared more for touring with weight. I could not have been more pleased to go this route.

FYI That time frame is the high season here in Florida, you might want to check if camping sites are available on your route as the snowbirds are here.
And have you considered doing the "Florida Connector" route from Ft. Myers to Key West?

I recently retired from a local fire department in South Fort Myers, FL. We covered a popular biking trail, John Yarbrough Linear Park, as Rails-to-Trails, have limited vehicle access. We have in the past pre-planned each section of the park for emergency vehicle access points and path obstructions, ie pedestrian bridges only.

Each section has been designated by intersecting roadways that allows us to place the caller’s location for emergency access points as per our response plan for that section of the park.

John Yarbrough Linear park:
